What is the usually sentence for vialting yr probation in california?

i live in california and my bf got in trouble for fighting and did 3 months in jail he got out and was put on probation for 3 years he got in trouble for possession of oxycotton on him when he got pulled over and he said a different name thinking he wldnt get in trouble. hes in a station right now and has court on this tuesday is there any judges or officers that wld kno exactly what would happen to him if so plez tell me in detail thank you.
